The Tree Identification Website is a project of the VLS Campus Greening Committee.

The Campus Greening Committee advocates for adoption of campus-wide environmental policies; informs and educates the VLS community on issues of sustainable campus life; minimizes the impact of our existence on the environment; assesses our progress; and re-evaluates our objectives.

The goal of this project is to identify, locate and photograph various species of trees on the Vermont Law School campus.

This project is a self-guided campus tree walk which can be done virtually or by foot.

We envision this project growing to include a description of campus flowers, birds, shrubs, mammals, and fish in the adjacent White River. We would also like to classify the exotic and invasive species on campus. Finally, an ambitious goal is to classify any disease that threatens the health of our local ecology.

The founders of this project are Dori Borrelli MSEL'05, JD '08, Jarrett Duncan MSEL '03, JD '06, Theresa Kliczewski MSEL'05, Scott McGrath, Webmaster Extraordinaire and Christine Ryan, Environmental Law Librarian.
